Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Controller to oversee all financial and accounting operations of the organization. The Controller will ensure accurate financial reporting, maintain internal controls, and lead strategic financial planning efforts. This role involves managing a team of accounting professionals, streamlining processes, and collaborating with senior leadership to drive financial success. As a remote position, this opportunity offers flexibility while requiring a high degree of accountability and expertise.

• Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports.
• Develop and enforce internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
• Manage and supervise the accounting team, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations.
• Coordinate and lead the month-end and year-end close processes.
• Prepare budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses to support strategic decision-making.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, SOX, and other regulatory requirements.
• Liaise with external auditors and tax professionals to facilitate audits and tax filings.
• Implement and optimize accounting systems and processes to improve efficiency and accuracy.
• Monitor cash flow, working capital, and financial risks, providing regular updates to senior management.
• Advise on financial strategy, investment opportunities, and cost-saving initiatives.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
• CPA or CMA certification required.
• Experience:
  • Minimum of 8 10 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a Controller or similar leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and regulatory compliance.
  • Experience with financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in accounting software such as NetSuite, Sage Intacct, or QuickBooks.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including financial modeling and data analysis.
• Soft Skills:
  • Excellent leadership and team management capabilities.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.
  • Outstanding communication skills, with the ability to convey complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
