Position: School-Based Occupational Therapist w/ Cross Country Education
Location: Arlington Heights, IL
Pay Rate: $45+ hourly/Benefits/401k

Overview:

We provide a comprehensive educational program for Early Childhood through Grade 8 students with diverse special needs, including:

• Cognitive disabilities
• Multiple disabilities
• Autism spectrum disorders
• Behavioral disorders
• Physical/health impairments
• Communication disorders

Our team-based instructional model creates a structured, nurturing, and responsive environment tailored to address the needs of the whole child.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver occupational therapy services in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team, including speech and language pathologists, psychologists, social workers, and physical therapists.
• Utilize a tiered approach to service delivery to meet individual student needs.
• Adapt and modify instruction to align with Common Core State Standards and address students’ transition, vocational, and life skills.
• Contribute to a team-based model to foster students’ academic, social, and functional development.
• Support students in their transition from school to community living and work opportunities.

Requirements:

• Experience or interest in working with students with diverse special needs.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills.
