Job Description

The Shipping and Receiving Clerk is an entry level position for many potential growth opportunities. The S&R Clerk plays a vital role in the logistics and supply chain operations of our organization. This position is responsible for overseeing the receipt of goods and materials, ensuring that all incoming packages are accurately processed and recorded. The ideal candidate will have experience in a distribution center environment and possess strong organizational skills to manage inventory effectively.

Duties

• Coordinate the receipt of incoming shipments, ensuring accuracy in quantities and quality of goods received.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds
• Utilize RF scanners to track inventory and update the system in real-time.
• Perform basic math calculations to verify shipment contents against purchase orders.
• Load and unload packages from delivery vehicles, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage.
• Maintain an organized receiving area, ensuring that all products are stored correctly for easy access.
• Collaborate with e-commerce teams to manage returns and exchanges efficiently.
• Operate equipment such as pallet jacks and order pickers safely and effectively.

Experience

• Previous experience in a distribution center or warehouse environment is preferred.
• Previous experience with UPS or FedEx websites
• Familiarity with shipping and receiving processes, including knowledge of e-commerce logistics.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills are essential for success in this role.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated.

Education
Highschool diploma or equivalent education
