We protect property rights through the careful examination of each property history to ensure they are free of liens and other title defects. Position Details – Title/Escrow Assistant - Entry Level

The Title/Escrow Assistant is a key position that supports the team by gathering necessary information and documents for title research and closings; and maintaining records and accounts. Specific job responsibilities include:

  • Welcome and greets customers and visitors, in person or on the telephone.
  • Maintain files and documents.
  • Communicate appropriate correspondence.
  • Research records.
  • Perform clerical duties such as filing, faxing, mailings, etc.
  • Schedule real estate closings and obtains any necessary documents or information to complete the transaction.
  • Prepare files per real estate contract and title commitment as well as any necessary escrow documents and other title-related documents
  • Protect customers’ rights by maintaining confidentiality of personal and financial information.
  • Disburse the file as required after each closing, if requested.
  • Maintain operations by following policies and procedures; reporting needed changes.
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related tasks as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent (required).
  • A valid driver’s license and the ability to travel on occasion as needed.
  • The ability to obtain a State of Kansas Title Insurance License is required within your first 6 months of employment – the company will provide assistance if needed.
  • 1-3 years of previous experience in title insurance, lending, or real estate is preferred.
  • Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Word.
  • Strong customer service, communication, and attention to detail.
  • Dependability, strong work ethic and punctuality are a must.
  • Ability to learn quickly and thrive in a fast paced environment.
